What has been done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
- Photos have text descriptions (alt text); decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colors are checked for contrast in both the light and dark themes.
- Every form field has a visible label.
- Line and column charts have a "Data table" toggle with the same numbers as text, and charts have a text title.
- Pages are marked with their language (English or Russian), and quoted English text on Russian pages is marked as English.
- Links and buttons have large tap areas on phones, and pages reflow to a single column at narrow widths and at 200% zoom.
- Every place photo carries a credit line, and all credits are listed on the photo credits page.
Known limits
- Chart tooltips appear on hover or touch; the same numbers are in each chart's data table.
- The Florida price map is visual. Its data is also in the sortable table below the map.
- The downloadable PDF guides may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one in another format, ask and I will send the content as plain text.
- There is no "skip to content" link yet.
